Capping measures in Duisburg-Meiderich.

For almost a year, the capping measures at the Friedrich Thyssen 4 shaft in Duisburg-Meiderich have continuously been running according to plan.

The first boreholes inside and outside the shaft have been successfully drilled and grouted with construction material.

Using the powerful Sonic XL drilling rig from our partner BTR, it was possible to complete a borehole in the shaft to a final depth of 140 metres within a single day.

The team is highly motivated, and the grouting work is proceeding largely without a hitch.

Safety, health and environmental protection are top priorities for THYSSEN SCHACHTBAU GMBH and are essential components of the professional realisation of the Friedrich Thyssen 4 project.
