THYSSEN SCHACHTBAU rejuvenates its vehicle fleet.

THYSSEN SCHACHTBAU has added an Epiroc Boomer E2C to its own fleet of vehicles.

The electro-hydraulic jacking drill rig has two drill mounts including a clamping device for extension drilling as well as a third arm with a service basket.

It can be used to drill cross-sections of up to approx. 110 sqm. The engine, control system and hammer drills are among the latest on the market.

The optionally switchable automatic system enables "unmanned", fully automatic operation at the working face, which increases accuracy, reduces cycle times and ultimately saves time and money.

In the future, the drill rig, whose travel drive complies with the latest exhaust gas standards, can be used not only in tunnelling, but also in raw material extraction. The compact design allows for a wide range - from very small cross-sections of 25 sqm to over 110 sqm.

THYSSEN SCHACHTBAU is thus consistently geared towards future challenges in mining and infrastructure projects.
